It all began in 2020, at the peak of the COVID pandemic, when Erica and Naira met while working as pharmacists at a local hospital in San Diego. They quickly became friends, bonding over their shared love for animals and spending countless hours together in vaccine clinics. Erica rescued her dogs, Lenny and Sloane, from a rescue in Los Angeles, while Naira rescued Miko and Luca locally.

Through their shared experiences and rescue journeys, they witnessed firsthand the overwhelming number of animals in need of safe, loving homes. It didn’t take long for them to realize the dire need for more foster homes, resources, and advocacy to save animals from euthanasia and neglect.

Motivated by their passion and dedication, Erica and Naira decided to take matters into their own hands and develop their own rescue organization. Their mission became clear—to create a safe haven for animals in need, provide them with medical care, rehabilitation, and love, and find them forever homes where they could thrive. Through hard work, community support, and their background in healthcare, they built a rescue focused on compassion, education, and second chances for every animal they save.
